It should come as no great shock that since entertainment attorney and "Eternal Seven" Eboni K. Williams and Black female life guru Iyanla Vanzant's interview on The Grio went viral, creating a firestorm of controversy surrounding that old saw about highly educated and accomplished Black women who can't seem to find Black men "on their level", being confronted with the prospect of "dating down" to the Blue Collar Brother who drives a bus, installs plumbing and heating, or works in heavy industry. It's an old, old story indeed.
Nevertheless, here we are - and, once again and not surprisingly, here comes Ms. Williams doubling down on her dim view of "Blue HENRYs" - and soon to be joined by Black Feminist Spinster, er, social media influencer and "activist" Kimberly Nicole Foster, who was all too eager to jump on the bandwagon chorus. Of course, both Ms. Williams and Ms. Foster won't answer the hard, burning question, of how and why BOFFUM are still single, BOFFUM staring down 40, when BOFFUM have attended the best de facto mating grounds in the country, in the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill and Harvard University, respectively. No one will ask these lovely ladies and scores of others of their ilk, how and why the Masters of the Universe Brothers, aren't checking for them?
No one will ask these lovely ladies, but your correspondent - and since we had a bit of technical difficulty on yesterday's live, we have every excuse and reason in the universe to go back unto the breach one mo 'gin, TODAY on Obsidian Radio!
