A Gentleman's Weapon: Cane & Walking Stick Self-Defense:
The martial arts has been a mainstay of interest and activity in American life, thanks largely to Hollywood - from Bruce Lee to Keanu Reeve's "John Wick" and beyond, the various styles and forms of martial arts and self-defense have gotten their due - with the lone exception of the humble cane or walking stick. In the real world, increasingly repressive restrictions on personal protection and self-defense options make it ever harder for the rank and file American citizen to protect themselves, their property and their loved ones. Guns, knives and other weapons simply aren't allowed (lawfully) into many areas - schools, courthouses, airports and the like. But the unsung hero of the martial arts world - the lowly walking cane - can.
